Boone Memorial Hospital’s standard charges are now made available for your review. These standard charges, from our charge master, are in compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Fiscal Year 2019 Inpatient Prospective Payment System Final Rule, 83 Federal Reg. 41144 (Aug. 17, 2018). Charges are the dollar amount a provider sets for services rendered before negotiated rates and discounts. This document should not be used to accurately estimate or determine the final patient cost of a given hospital stay at Boone Memorial Hospital. It is provided for information only. If you are comparing Boone Memorial Hospital’s charge master to the charge master of other hospitals, it is important to note that descriptions and charges contained in the charge master may vary from hospital to hospital. Among the reasons for this variance, are that different hospitals may include different goods, supplies or procedures under a similarly named description.

Please note that standard charges are not always reflective of the price you will pay for the services provided. Several factors will impact your out of pocket expense. These include Boone Memorial Hospital’s contracted rates with your insurance company, your insurance plans deductible and co-pay amounts, if you have already met your annual deductible, or if your insurance carrier is in-network with our hospital. Boone Memorial Hospital also offers a variety of discounts to benefit our patients. Such as a 25% prompt pay discount when patient balances are paid in full within 30 days after insurance payment.

Posting provider charges is intended to assist patients to make informed pricing choices. Your health isn’t only a matter of price – the quality of care is a major factor when choosing a health care provider. We encourage you to seek a healthcare provider proven to provide a high quality of care. Boone Memorial is a proud recipient

of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Five-Star Quality Rating. Our hospital has received National Recognition for Performance Leadership in Patient Perspectives and the Over the Top Hospital (under 100 beds) Award. In addition, Boone Memorial Hospital received Gold Level in the Hospital Challenge Awards presented by Donate Life West Virginia and the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
