Boone Memorial Hospital Emergency Room remains current with its Level IV Trauma Designation. All physicians are certified in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) to prepare them for trauma patients.
Our ER professionals handle thousands of emergency visits each year, and treat every one with the same level of importance and respect. We currently have an ED Safety Team that incorporates strategies to promote patient safety, optimal clinical outcomes and patient centered care.
As a Level IV Trauma Center we are able to meet immediate healthcare needs of patients arriving at our facility. The providers receive training in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and 100% of our nurses are certified in TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum) studies. Our providers and nurses continually seek ways to improve staff performance so we can ensure quality care to all patients.
Patients requiring critical or intensive care can be air lifted to any major hospital in the area.
