The Boone County Quick Response Team (QRT) is an integrated team of emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, faith leaders, law enforcement officers and recovery resource advocates dedicated to serving individuals struggling with addiction in Boone County, West Virginia and surrounding communities.
The QRT is trained to respond to overdose victims within 72 hours following a life-threatening drug overdose. The team will also see individuals who are battling addiction and have been referred by friends or family.

WHAT WE DO
OUR TEAM OFFERS A VARIETY OF RESOURCES:

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Ambulance Authority provides public health education to individuals and their families.

Faith Leaders make personal visits (upon request) to provide pastoral counseling to individuals and families in need.

Law Enforcement Officers provides security for team members.

Recovery Resource Advocates provides information on available care and finds the best recovery and treatment options.
In addition, the team connects individuals to specialty and primary care providers who can answer questions and concerns related to the medical care provided for an overdose as well as other general medical questions and concerns.

TREATMENT
The Quick Response Team assists in securing treatment options and recovery services, which may include residential treatment, detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, primary care, therapy and social services.
