Joseph “Joe”, Edward “Eddie” and Robert “Bob” Atkins, all respected doctors in Madison, WV graciously donated $25,000 to the Boone Memorial Hospital Capital Campaign fund. The donation was made in tribute to their parents, Buster (deceased) and Geraldine, age 92, both life-long residents of Boone County.

Joe, Eddie and Bob are West Virginia University graduates. Joe is a dentist with a private practice in Madison while Bob is a Medical Doctor at the Madison Medical Clinic specializing in Family Medicine. Eddie is now retired after practicing dentistry in Boone County for over 30 years.

The brothers specifically chose to name an education room to honor their mother’s love and dedication to education. Geraldine was a school teacher for 43 years. She began teaching at the age of 19 in a one room school in Boone County, WV and in 1986 was honored as Teacher of the Year.

Buster and Geraldine are known for their unwavering love and commitment to their community and family. A tradition the Atkins brothers instill in their families today.
