BMH has been selected by the West Virginia State Office of Rural Health to coordinate activities to celebrate National Rural Health Day. The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health sets aside the third Thursday of every November – November 16, 2017 – to celebrate National Rural Health Day.
First and foremost, National Rural Health Day is an opportunity to “Celebrate the Power of Rural” by honoring the selfless, community-minded, “can do” spirit that prevails in rural America. But it also gives us a chance to bring to light the unique healthcare challenges that rural citizens face – and showcase the efforts of rural healthcare providers, State Offices of Rural Health and other rural stakeholders to address those challenges. We know there is work to be done, but we also believe there is plenty to celebrate – and we invite you to join the celebration!
Below is a flyer, which lists the day's activities. We invite all BMH employees to join in the celebration.Due to limited space in Private Dining, the three Healthy You Sessions are open first to community members. However, please let me know if you are interested in a session and we will do our best to accommodate.
Per Mr. Underwood, we invite a representative from each Department to join us for the National Movement "Walk with a Doc", which will be led by Dr. Courtney Adkins. We encourage involvement pending patient care isn't interrupted. We also invite all physicians to join Dr. Adkins and lead our staff and community.
Please share this page with patients, friends, family and coworkers.
RSVP deadline for the 3 healthy you sessions is by 12pm, November 15th.
