Boone Memorial Hospital donates $2,500 to help softball teams with flood damage

The softball field located in Danville, West Virginia (Lick Creek) was devastated by recent flooding. Both the Scott High School and Madison Middle School ladies softball teams utilize the field.


"We understand they lost almost everything, including equipment, some uniforms and supplies," said Boone Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Virgil Underwood. "There was also severe damage to their locker room. We wanted to help," he said.


The team also lost three lawn mowers, two refrigerators, helmets and a pitching machine.


Those interested in making a contribution can mail a check to Scott High School, #1 Skyhawk Place, Madison, WV 25130 - made payable to "Scott High School Softball"
